The tokenized asset market exploded in 2025, with on-chain real-world assets (RWAs) reaching $18.6 billion—a 232% increase from 2024. Institutional adoption of blockchain-based Treasuries, corporate bonds, and commodities fueled the rally, marking a decisive shift from pilot programs to full-scale deployment.

Tokenized equities led the charge, growing 27-fold from $31.57 million to $858.43 million within a year. Platforms like xStocks and Ondo Global Markets pioneered fractional ownership and 24/7 trading of traditional stocks on crypto rails, attracting institutional capital seeking efficiency and liquidity.

Analysts now project the RWA market could surpass $2 trillion by 2030, with BlackRock’s Larry Fink predicting a future where "every stock, every bond" migrates to blockchain ledgers. This trajectory suggests tokenization is no longer speculative—it’s the new infrastructure of global finance.
